‘The Young And The Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers show that Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) is talking about sending children Johnny Abbott and Katie Abbott off to boarding school, which means we will definitely not be seeing them anytime soon. However, while these kids are away, could we see a classic case of SORAS?

SORAS (soap opera rapid aging syndrome) is something that has happened to many children across the different soap operas, and I think we could definitely see it here. Johnny and Katie feel like they have been 10 for the last 5 years. It would make sense for them to maybe age up to at least their early teens.

‘The Young And The Restless’ Spoilers: Will Johnny & Katie Abbott Be SORAS While They Are Off At Boarding School?

While it has been a joy to see characters like Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and Faith Newman (Alyvia Alyn Linn – before she left) grow in front of our eyes, we don’t get as much time with some characters, and rapidly aging them makes sense. They could participate in more storylines that way and the world of Genoa City could have new blood.

This looks like it will be the fate of Johnny and Katie and I think we saw this coming. With Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) sucked into Chancellor Communications, and Victoria and Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi) in their own little world, who had time for kids, right?

We always tease and ask each other, “where the hell are their kids?”, but now, we’ll know they’ll be at boarding school the next 4 months and age 8 years! Yay!

What do you think? Do you think they will SORAS Johnny and Katie after they are sent to boarding school by their mother? Let us know in the comments below.
