George Clooney has opened up on his previous motorcycle accident during which he believed that he could have died.

George Clooney Was Facing Death Following His 2018 Motorcycle Accident-‘I Was Waiting For My Switch To Turn Off’

The incident had occurred in 2018 while he was in Sardinia, Italy. During this moment, his bike had ended up getting into a collision with another one as several people started to gather around.

As fear began to emerge over whether this was life-threatening, people started to take pictures and videos of the incident, which added to the gravity of the situation.

After having reviewed that thought in his mind, George realised that he was lucky to make it out alive. During an interview with the Sunday Times, he said: “I was waiting for my switch to turn off [but] I’m fine now.”

The actor was hospitalised after the incident and released several days later. But it was no fault of his own, however. George had simply become a victim of careless driving at the hands of another person.

Luckily for him, the driver stopped to call the ambulance services. He added: “The driver immediately recognised he was responsible. He turned the car without respecting the road laws.”

Nevertheless, the incident did haunt him for some time. The primary reason for this was because people had started to cause a scene around the accident rather than actually trying to make sure that he was fine.

That is why the actor started to get frustrated and was rightly outraged by what he regarded as inappropriate behaviour. He stated: “For some people, it’s [the accident] just going to be entertainment for their Facebook page.

“You want to take everyone and shake them.” George has shown that he was lucky to make it out alive in one piece, and given that he is happily married, coupled with the fact that he does have children, this incident showed that life could be very short indeed.

That is why he wants to cherish every moment that he has by not having any regrets in whatever endeavours he decides to put his mind towards. And that is something good that had come out of something so negative.
