People are asking what exactly made this particular event at Astroworld different than the rest. One attendee that was at the concert said that they had attended other events at Astroworld and everything had always gone smoothly at the venue, but something about this particular concert was different.
Apparently there was not enough security on-hand to handle the crowd, which is probably why they got out of control in the first place. Another thing that was mentioned is that there were not enough medics on hand to handle emergencies.
Why did 8 people die at a Travis Scott concert?
There were teenagers, yes, that’s right, teenagers, who were trying to administer CPR to victims but were doing it incorrectly. They can’t be blamed for that, they were teenage good samaritans simply trying to do the right thing, they were not trained professionals, something that Travis Scott and his team should have thought of before organizing an event at such a large venue.
Obviously they didn’t, obviously they were trying to cut corners – look we get it, the pandemic has affected everyone but if you can’t handle the security costs then why hold it at such a large venue? Or why not stream the concert so that it could be enjoyed by a larger audience, pay-per-view exists for a reason and those people get royalties too.
The most heinous allegation is that Travis Scott saw what was going on, he saw that the crowd was getting out of control and people were yelling at him to stop the show, but he didn’t stop playing.
Travis Scott is entertainment’s equivalent to the emporer Nero, fiddling while Rome burned, only he just let his fans get injured and killed as he looked on – for what? For clout? For a headline? For money? Was it really worth 8 people’s lives, some of them being children, to play a concert through?
You can always have another concert, you can always make back money that you lose – you cannot refund someone’s life at the end of the day which is what 8 families have to know with all the holidays coming up.
They won’t see their loved ones again, and there will be 8 empty chairs at the table. Obviously, Travis Scott’s team is to blame here, but so is he on a certain level. Human error happens, but this one… is especially heinous. We at DSD will keep you updated. Stay tuned!!!
