Bryan Singer, who is best known for being the director of the X-Men movie franchise, was pictured publicly for the first time in three years following the sexual harassment allegations that were directed against him.

Bryan’s response to the claims has been to keep a low profile in the hope that things would eventually die down. He had been accused of sexually assaulting numerous people, all of which go back as early as 1997.

Although Singer denied doing anything of the sort, he has settled on some of the cases outside of court. This could be viewed as a sign of guilt, as if you were innocent, then there would be no need to settle.

The director, though, has always maintained that this was done because of the fact that it was cheaper to settle outside of court. And with there still being things that need to be resolved, it has taken a huge toll on Bryan.

In the pictures here, we can see that Bryan is out with his friend having a coffee. But rather than enjoying the day out, Bryan is seen covering his face with his hands in what looks to be a massive sign of distress.

Just before he did that, Bryan had been having a conversation on his mobile phone. This would suggest that there is further bad news to come.

Bryan’s cause has not been helped by the rise of the #MeTooMovement. This caused further people to come out and make claims against the global director.

And it had such an impact that in 2017, it affected Bryan’s role in directing ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’, which sought to tell the life story of Queen’s Freddie Mercury as the additional rumours of assault coincided with this project.

There is still plenty more to come from these allegations, and the current cancel culture that we are living through is not going to do Bryan any favours.

His work will be recognised in cinematic history, but unfortunately for him just like many other Hollywood stars, he has tarnished his reputation. That is why it is hard to see him returning to the big screen. Time will tell.
