Megan Fox has spoken out on the insecurities that she continues to suffer from with her body.
Megan Fox Reveals All On Her Body Dysmorphia-‘I Have A Lot Of Deep Insecurities’
The actress has made it no secret over the pressure that she has felt in the acting industry to look a certain way. This was most visible during the earlier parts of her career when Megan admitted that she would only be cast for over-sexualised movie roles.
And in order to stay healthy, she has had to have a constant battle in trying to keep things in order. During an interview with British GQ Style, Megan said: “Yeah, I have body dysmorphia.
“I have a lot of deep insecurities. We may look at somebody and think, ‘That person’s so beautiful. Their life must be so easy.’ They most likely don’t feel that way about themselves.”
The main reason for Megan’s issues has been the fact that she has allowed others to exert a lot of control over her career. And because she is in the acting industry, it can lead to very confrontational situations.
So much so that Megan felt like she did not fit into the Hollywood industry. She added: “I think I had either put myself in or allowed other people to put me in, this weird box that didn’t quite fit me.
“I hadn’t lived my own life as myself for a really long time.” And yet, this all changed when Megan met her boyfriend, Machine Gun Kelly.
The rapper is known for being eccentric, too, as shown by both his appearance as well as his attitude. He was someone that Megan could be totally comfortable with, and it has allowed her to show another side of herself to her fans.
She continued: “You know, famously, like, I’m an unusual person. And I had buried a lot of that because it didn’t have a place to live. That’s something that, meeting him, it’s like meeting your own soul’s reflection.”
It is wonderful to see Megan being so open with her struggles. And her story serves as an example for many others around the world who are going through similar problems.
