This might be a great holiday season after all. There’s a new report that suggests Prince Harry and Meghan Markle might bring their two children Archie and Lilibet to Windsor for Christmas this year. Queen Elizabeth is yet to meet her youngest great-grandchild Lilibet, as she was born in California back in June.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been living in the U.S. ever since they pulled the plug on their relationship with the royal family back in January of 2020. Here’s what you need to know.
Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Might Bring Lilibet To Windsor For Christmas
One royal expert believes that a trip back to Britain for the holidays “pave the way for a healing of the family rift” between the Sussexes and the rest of the royals.
Katie Nicholl told Closer magazine: “When Harry and Meghan left, they made it clear they didn’t want to give up their home in Britain. They still have Frogmore Cottage and their plan was to come back to the UK. Christmas is being looked at as an opportunity. There may be a softening, which could pave the way for a healing of the family rift.”
She added: “It’s certainly what the Queen wants. Prince Charles would like to see his grandchildren. A meet-up suggests they hope to move on and sort things out.”
The last time Harry and Meghan spent Christmas with the royal family was back in 2018. So far the couple has not made any comments about their future travel plans yet. Watch this space.
