Just when you thought things couldn’t get any worse for Queen Elizabeth, it just did. Instead of basking in the last days of summer, the Queen’s “peace and quiet” has been ruined by the fact that her son Prince Andrew has been served with legal papers.
As many royal fans know by now, a lawsuit has been filed against him by Virginia Giuffre, a former alleged sex trafficking victim. She is accusing him of having sex with her when she was underage. Here’s what you need to know.
Queen Elizabeth Is Now Stressed Over Prince Andrew Getting Served By Virginia Giuffre’s Legal Team
According to reports, the Duke of York was served with the civil suit filed by Virginia Giuffre on August 27, according to a document filed in a New York court. The document says the suit was left with a police officer on duty at the gates of the Royal Lodge in Windsor.
And for Her Majesty, it has certainly been a tough time for her and it doesn’t look like things are going to get any better, unfortunately. A source told The Sun that the Queen can’t help but wonder “when she will get any peace and quiet.”
The tipster put it this way: “He knows he is far safer up at Balmoral on the Queen’s estate. Andrew is always described as the Queen’s favourite son but she is meant to be on holiday at Balmoral.”
Even though a photograph of both Prince Andrew and an underage Virginia has been making the rounds on the internet for quite some time now, Prince Andrew has maintained his innocence against all charges.
In fact, he has previously suggested the picture could be Photoshopped. I was with the children. I’d taken [Princess] Beatrice to a Pizza Express in Woking for a party,” he said in a BBC interview in 2019.
