There’s a new report that suggests Britons are tired of hearing Meghan Markle weigh in on every single “serious” issue that is out there, including climate change, to COVID-19 and vaccinations, and even the Taliban takeover in Afghanistan. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been getting mocked for wading into the crisis that is currently enfolding in Afghanistan, as the Taliban have taken over the capital of Kabul.
Britons Lash Out At Meghan Markle For Weighing In On ‘Serious Issues’
A lengthy statement released on their Archewell Foundation website said they were “heartbroken” and “speechless” at the “exceptionally fragile” state the world was currently in. In their statement, they also addressed the ongoing pandemic that has been COVID-19, along with the devastating earthquake that has hit Haiti.
Of course, it didn’t take long at all for royal critics to weigh in. Royal journalist Richard Eden tweeted: “Thank goodness Harry and #Meghan have managed to share a few words on the world’s crises, despite being rendered ‘speechless.’”
Speaking to Express.co.uk Lee Cohen, senior fellow of the Bow Group think tank, urged her to stick to “Hollywood gossip”, asking “why would serious people even tune in?”
Other royal critics have commented on the matter with: “First they should sort out their own family problems otherwise they’re incapable of sorting out the worlds,” along with, “If they both have issues with the state of the world. They should both see a therapist urgently. Or are they waiting for the RF to pay for it.”
Another critic wrote: “They are opportunists at every level! They think they are world leaders or some sort of state spokesperson! They are nothing! Who do they think they are? They know nothing of true pain or the true hardships of people. In short they live in a massive mansion waited on by poor servants. They should keep their traps shut!”
