While there certainly are a lot of mothers out there who would do just about anything for their children, some people believe this might go beyond the border of good taste. Even though Prince Andrew has been making a lot of headlines for all of the sexual assault allegations made against him – including one lawsuit slapped at him too – he still remained Queen Elizabeth’s favorite son. Keep reading to find out more.

There’s a new report that suggests the Duke of York, unlike Prince Harry, will be able to keep his military honors. In fact, Queen Elizabeth has made it clear that she wants Randy Andy to retain his honorary military role, even though he might be the least liked figure in the British Royal Family right now.

Earlier this month Virginia Giuffre filed a lawsuit in Manhattan federal court, stating that Prince Andrew repeatedly sexually assaulted her when she was 17. According to ITV News, lawyers for Giuffre say they believe Prince Andrew will end up in court after their client filed a lawsuit on Monday against the royal. In the lawsuit, brought under the Child Victims Act, Giuffre claims the prince sexually abused her on multiple occasions.

Yet, Queen Elizabeth doesn’t think it’s fair to strip Andrew of any of his titles. However, a senior military source had this to say to The Sunday Times about the matter: “[Andrew’s] position is not tenable or viable. How can you have a colonel who can’t perform the role? For the brief time he was in post, he was a good colonel, but the feeling across the regiment is that it’s not appropriate to retain him. You can’t have a colonel who can’t do public duties.”

Meanwhile, Buckingham Palace has denied the allegations that have been made against Prince Andrew, stating: “It is emphatically denied that The Duke of York had any form of sexual contact or relationship with Virginia Roberts. Any claim to the contrary is false and without foundation.”
