When Australia doesn’t want you, then you know it’s bad. There are new reports that say “The Ellen Show’s” final season won’t be airing on Australia’s Channel 9 due to a big dip in the ratings. Here’s what you need to know.

According to TV Blackbox, Foxtel previously held the rights for the Australian premiere of the 18th season of The Ellen Show, but it has opted out of its deal and won’t renew. A spokesperson for 9 Network said: “The Ellen DeGeneres Show won’t be returning to Channel 9 for its 19th and final season. It’s been a tremendous run and we wish Ellen DeGeneres all the best for her last season.”

TV Blackbox then said: “TV Blackbox understands the Seven Network is highly unlikely to secure the show. However, it remains possible Channel 10 could seek to add Ellen to its daytime line-up. The network has recently signed deals with Warner Bros to secure other programming titles.”

Meanwhile, Ellen seems to be in complete denial over all the headlines that she has made this past year, as she insists that her toxic work environment scandal and sinking ratings have nothing to do with her decision to quit her daytime talk show. It was investigated for its “toxic work environment” following allegations made that Ellen is perhaps one of the most difficult people to work with in the entertainment industry.

“If it was why I was quitting, I would have not come back this year,” Ellen told The Today Show. “I really did think about not coming back, because it was devastating.”
