He hasn’t even met the young baby girl yet, but Thomas Markle says that there’s no reason for him to call her by his first name. Of course, we are talking about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s daughter Lilibet, who Thomas says is unnecessary to call her by her full name. Here’s what he has to say.
In an interview with Dan Wootton on GB News, Thomas said that he would “dearly like” to meet both Lilibet and her older brother Archie Harrison, but says that he refuses to call her by her full name, Lilibet Diana.

Thomas put it this way, “I call her Lili. Just plain Lili. I think that’s a great name. Lili is a perfect name for her. I’d like to see her. I’d dearly like to see her and hold her. Same for Archie, I’d like to see Archie as well. But I don’t think Lilibet is necessary, Lili is perfect.”
In the same interview, Thomas said that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s attacks on the royal family are both “embarrassing and unforgivable.”
He said: “Both Meghan and Harry are attacking the royal family from both of them and for god’s sakes, attacking a 95-year-old great-grandmother. It’s unforgivable and none of the rest of the royals have deserved what they’ve been shovelled out either. It’s embarrassing that they’re doing this.”
Thomas added that Meghan has “changed” and is not the daughter he used to know. So far the Duchess of Sussex herself has not responded to any of her father’s comments.
