NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers reveal we’re still shaking our heads over some of the characters’ decisions. Mostly when it comes to the Theo Carver (Cameron Johnson)/Ciara Brady (Victoria Konefal) situation. There’s a lot of hypocrisy and weirdness around it, and we’re curious what’s going to happen next after how things ended Thursday. Let’s take a look at what’s going on and what we see.
NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Enablers
First, ‘Days of Our Lives spoilers’ reveal those nearest and dearest to Theo are not doing him any favors. We’ve said from the beginning they should have given Theo some tough love. However, they chose to pile on congratulations and participate in what was yet another failed wedding in Salem. And it got worse.
This week, Theo admitted to being scared Ciara would remember her love for Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson), because he might lose her. We couldn’t. As soon as the words left his mouth, we couldn’t help saying, “What does that tell you?” And yes, we totally got Roseanne flashbacks with that line. An awesome moment between Dan Conner (John Goodman) and Becky Conner (Lecy Goranson). But we digress.
So, Theo actually admitted this fear and that Ciara would drop him in a second if she remembered Ben. Did Abe Carver (James Reynolds) use this as an opportunity to help his son avoid making a huge mistake? Nope. Instead, the whole family has rallied around him. We have another problem with that.
NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Hypocrites
So, we’ve already established Abe and the rest are failing hard with this. Knowing Ciara has no memory and isn’t quite the same person, they’re still supporting and encouraging this. Not giving a second thought to how Ciara might feel if she gets her memory back.
Who, by the way, they are related to as well. But we guess Ciara’s possible distress over how she behaved and possible feelings of being violated don’t mean much when compared to Theo’s delicate feelings. But it gets worse.
While they’ve done little, if anything, to even gently help him see the possible mistake he’s making and why this relationship is wrong, they’re all too fast to jump on others for ruining Theo’s wedding day. Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) and Claire Brady (Isabel Durant) are currently at the Salem PD, threatened with charges for their part in Ben’s abduction of Ciara.
Where was this hard moral stance when Theo was essentially taking advantage of Ciara’s situation? Where was their concern for how Ciara must feel before this? We think they haven’t got much room to talk.
Clearly, Allie and Claire were the only ones acting in Ciara’s and Theo’s better interests. We’re not saying Ciara had to put her life on permanent hold. We’re just saying that she doesn’t have (and didn’t want) all the information to make a fully informed decision.
So, the fact most of their friends and family just congratulated them and carried on like nothing was off was wrong. They know there’s a chance this will end in total disaster, so they should have been very clear on that from the beginning.
NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: What’s next?
Honestly, Beyond Salem teasers are showing how this ends. And it’s exactly how Theo is afraid it will end. It was obvious just watching the cabin scenes Ciara is remembering and this is going to be a tough thing for her. We see quite a lot of emotional stuff to work through. One, she might feel betrayed and violated by Theo.
At the same time, she’ll probably be feeling guilt for her share of the responsibility and how it hurts Theo, too. And we definitely think she’ll be struggling for a bit with how she treated Ben and Claire through this. We honestly think, memory or not, she’ll decline to press charges as well. She’d been too obviously softening to want to see Ben locked up over this. Much less anyone else.
