Erika Jayne broke down over the legal troubles she is facing in the aftermath of a lawsuit that was filed against her and her ex-husband Tom Girardi.

The star of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills has been accused of divorcing Tom simply in order to protect their assets. The couple had been married for around 20 years before they decided to part ways, but things have not died down, as the lawsuit claimed that the pair had embezzled money that was intended for the families of those who had died in a tragic plane crash.
These funds were then reportedly used to finance Erika’s companies and her subsequent lifestyle. All this got a bit too much for Erika, who could no longer keep quiet.
In an episode of the show, she is heard saying: “What’s being said is just, I mean, it’s insane. That lawsuit that says my divorce is a sham so I could hide assets — people want to believe that… I mean, I could have never predicted this f—king s—t. This is the end.” The lawyer, though, in charge of the case does not see it from Erika’s point of view.
Jay Edelson believes that his clients have a solid case, and they are looking to recoup whatever the judge may rule as being a suitable amount by attempting to auction off Erika’s assets. During an interview on the Reality Life with Kate Casey podcast, Jay stated how he is confident of coming out with a victory.
He said: “We think…she was knee-deep in this fraud, and she can say, ‘Oh, she didn’t know anything about it.’ And I think that’s going be hard for to convince a jury of.” There is no doubt that there is going to be more to come from this story in the future.
Although Erika admitted that she feels happier since the divorce, this legal case is not going to do her any good. And if the lawyers continue to feel confident and can prove Erika’s wrongdoing, then she is in for a tough time ahead.
