Even though Meghan Markle is someone who always loves to come prepared, apparently she didn’t do enough research before she became a member of the British Royal Family.
But that’s exactly what her sister-in-law Kate Middleton did, prompting a lot of royal critics to believe that she was better prepared for royal life that Meghan was. Here’s what you need to know.
According to a new report, the Duchess of Cambridge didn’t mind waiting at all for Prince William to propose to her, as she knew that life as she knew it would change the moment she became part of the royal family. At least, that’s what Katie Nicholl told the Daily mail recently.
Kate Middleton Was Better Prepared For Royal Life Than Meghan Markle
She said, “When Kate married into the royal family, she made a point of really doing her research. She wasn’t at all afraid to go across Buckingham Palace and speak to courtiers and advisors and to get their advice. She didn’t want to make mistakes and if that meant being accused of being “Waity Katie” again, all over again, she very much wouldn’t mind.”
Royal expert Emily Andrews also suggested that Kate Middleton tried to help Meghan Markle during the early months of her marriage to Prince Harry, but something just didn’t click between them.
She said, “Kate did try as much as possible as she entered the royal fray. She said, “If you want me to put you in touch with any fashion designers that I know of course I can.”
Nicholl added, “Kate of course then invited Meghan to Wimbledon with her, they went to the polo together.”
Andrews also thinks it’s a good thing that Kate Middleton likes to stay vague at times. She added, “I think perhaps in the past, there had not been much to say about what the Duchess of Cambridge stood for. The flip side of her being very cautious, not wanting to kind of rush into anything, has meant that some people have questioned ‘Well, who is she, what does she stand for, what is she doing?’”
