Jamie Lynn Spears, the sister of pop singer Britney Spears, has finally given her response to her sister’s shocking revelations in light of the latter’s conservatorship battle.

Britney shook the world after she came out and revealed how her father, Jamie Spears, had been exerting total control over her life. This included claims that she was prevented from marrying her boyfriend Sam Asghari, as well as not being able to go to the grocery store alone.
And now Jamie has come out and expressed how she wants her sister to be happy. During a post to her fans on Instagram, Jamie said: ”I’ve only loved and adored and supported my sister…I am only her sister who is only concerned about her happiness.”
Jamie, for her part, has remained largely quiet over the years during the difficulties that Britney had been going through. And yet, she denied claims that she was not there for her sister. She stressed that she had been giving support to Britney behind the scenes, and this was most visible during her relationship as an auntie to Britney’s two kids: Preston and Jayden.
Jamie feels that it is only right that this should be known. She added: “Maybe I didn’t support her the way the public would like me to with a hashtag on a public platform, but I can assure you I’ve supported my sister long before there was a hashtag.” While Jamie did not stress whether their father had done anything wrong, it is clear where her loyalties lie.
She opened up on how she wants Britney to take charge of her life, and given what Britney has said about her father recently, she fully supports the idea of Britney becoming fully independent.
She continued: “I’m my own person. I’m speaking for myself. I’m so proud of her for using her voice. I’m so proud of her for requesting new counsel as I told her to do many years ago.” For the first time in a long time, Britney has the considerable support of her family. This may be the time when she finally breaks free and becomes happy.
