Prince Charles just wants everything to go back to the way things were and maybe even to the way things were before Meghan Markle entered the picture. There’s a new report that says the future King of England is feeling very ‘shell-shocked’ these days over the state of Prince William and Prince Harry’s relationship.
Actually, make that their non-relationship as the two royal brothers are barely speaking to one another. Here’s what you need to know.
Even though Prince Charles won’t be around to see his sons reunite next week at the unveiling of a Princess Diana statue at Kensington Gardens, sources say that he is feeling “hurt and upset” by the discord.
Prince William And Prince Harry’s Feud: Prince Charles Has Been Left Shell-shocked For This Reason
For the most part Prince Charles has remained silent about the rift between the two brothers, which reportedly began when Prince Harry started dating Meghan Markle. But now he feels as though something needs to be said as things will certainly get worse before they get better for William and Harry.
“He is very hurt and upset [by the ongoing fallout],” a friend of Charles told People Magazine, adding that he feels “shell-shocked by it all.”
And while everyone managed to remain civil during Prince Philip’s funeral back in April, there’s still a lot of anger between Prince William and Prince Harry.
Of course, the entire royal family is can’t believe that Prince Harry, along with his wife Meghan Markle, managed to throw everyone under the bus in their seismic interview with Oprah Winfrey back in March.
If that weren’t enough, Harry has said multiple times that he was disappointed in the way that he was brought up behind closed palace doors and that his father Prince Charles had passed on “genetic pain and suffering” to his sons.
One royal source say that one of the reasons why Prince Charles hasn’t offered his rebuttal is because he’s too shy of a person to do so in public.
“For example, Prince Charles is a very, very shy man, a very sensitive and delicate man, but we see his public personality, but in private, he’s immensely sensitive,” he explained.
The voice coach noted that “when we’re sensitive, if we’re dealing with very strong, combustible emotion on the outside of us,” people tend to go with a fight or flight response. When Diana accused Charles of having an affair with Duchess Camilla, his response was clear.”
