On Wednesday, Chanel DuPree (Precious Way) came across her plans and we think this is going to lead to a huge issue. Let’s take a look at what might be next.

First, ‘Days of Our Lives’ spoilers reveal Paulina acted like she wanted to make some open-air market for the town. That’s a lie. From the plans Chanel found, it looks to be just what we suspected. The existing square is likely to get completely demolished with a new enclosed building in its place.
Of course, when Chanel asked about this, Paulina lied and claimed it was another project that accidently ended up in the folder for the square. So, she lied to Chanel as well as Abe Carver (James Reynolds).
However, we wonder if there’s even more to this than we know. Paulina definitely was thinking about her real plans for the square when she was trying to keep Abe from approving Chanel’s application to open her bakery. There’s got to be a bigger reason for this, and we think people might want to avoid taking space there at all costs.

Meanwhile, it seems Paulina is impressed with Chanel’s work so far. ‘Days of Our Lives’ spoilers reveal the pair bonded a bit over Chanel being grateful for being pushed to stand on her own two feet.
She even asked mom to make a test of a family recipe so theirs is represented in the place as well. It was a sweet moment, but we have a feeling those aren’t long for this show. At least, between Paulina and Chanel.

If this ends up being as bad as we think it’ll be, Chanel will probably never forgive her mother for letting her get involved in the project instead of being honest with her.
Plus, she’s the business partner of Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold), who’s related to the people the square is named after. Considering how close she and Allie are—and Chanel’s feelings for Allie—we have a hunch Chanel will not take well to Allie’s reaction.
So, Paulina has a choice to make here. She could still probably turn things around if she really wanted to. After all, she’s the genius businesswoman who built an empire on her own. If she doesn’t do something fast, she’s going to go from welcome addition to town pariah.
And she’ll likely lose more than her daughter in the process. Lani Price (Sal Stowers) is married to a member of the Horton family. She’ll take anything that harms them personally, and this could put a severe strain on their relationship.
Not to mention, we’re pretty sure that Abe won’t stand for being deceived. We’re pretty sure he’ll pull out all the stops to hold her accountable for lying to him and the city about her plans.
Fraud/misrepresentation of a deal isn’t going to be good for her reputation. Chanel might need to hope her business happens and succeeds, because there could be a severe hit to the family money soon.
