Netflix’s ‘Fear Street’ is a new trilogy of films coming next month based on the stories of R.L. Stine. The stories follow the dark history of Shadyside after a series of brutal slayings. However, it didn’t just end in the 80s’, and the story will continue decades later.

The three films will release at the beginning of July and release 1 week apart from each other. Take a look at the trailer below that was uploaded with the following description,

“Wanna hear a killer story? In 1994, a group of teenagers discovers that the terrifying events that have haunted their town for generations may all be connected — and that they may be the next targets. Based on R.L. Stine’s best-selling horror series, the trilogy follows the nightmare through Shadyside’s sinister history. After a series of brutal slayings, a teen and her friends take on an evil force that’s plagued their notorious town for centuries. Welcome to Shadyside.”

Viewers commented on the trailer, “Interesting that the episodes are being aired in reverse chronological order. It’s probably to keep the mystery for a first time watch, but it also looks like you can watch the last one first, and the suspense will still be there. It’s the TENET of streaming series”, “This appears to be more violent than I was expecting. I always thought of Fear Street as the darker, bloodier version of Goosebumps, so I guess I’m glad they didn’t tone it down.” and “Idk how these movies will turn out, I’m hopeful, but this release schedule is awesome and I hope more services do something like it or continue it.”
