‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers show that it looks like Summer Newman (Hunter King) is beginning to question her engagement and future with her “soulmate” Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor). Any little turbulence these two encounter they instantly want to call everything off. Though, what really annoys me is seemingly why she’s having doubts.
While at the beginning I was disgusted with Kyle for not standing up to claim his son, and him seemingly about to move on with his life as though nothing happened, he’s not been forced to come around and start acting like a father. This is no small feat I may add. To find out one day that you have a son would be terrifying but stepping up and accepting that (even if it took him a while) is valiant nonetheless.

Now, it seems like Kyle even has a genuine interest in his son, alongside his father Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) who is beside himself with having a grandson. So, why wouldn’t Summer be on board with this? Seeing her fiance step up and be a father is probably the most difficult thing he could do.
However, it’s all about Summer, and if she’s not the center of his attention, why be around at all? I know you all love Summer and Kyle, but I think they’re just awful. Every minor inconvenience is a death sentence for their relationship and now Summer is questioning her involvement altogether!
Step up, be with Kyle and whatever comes his way. Just because your jealous or nervous about Tara Locke (Elizabeth Leiner) is no reason to call everything off.
