Chrissy Teigen has mocked Lori Loughlin in the aftermath of the latter’s role in a college admissions scandal.

Lori and her husband Mossimo Giannulli were charged after they tried to bribe their way into securing their daughter’s Olivia Jade Giannulli and Bella Giannulli, USC college places. Although the couple have done their jail time since then, Chrissy could not hold back at having a sly dig. In a post to her fans on Twitter, she joked about how she could secure a place at a hospitality college.
She said: “I wanna go to hospitality school. I am old and didn’t take my SATs. How does this work now? How do you get into school? Do I have to Laurie Laughlin [sic] photoshop myself being hospitable[?]” The married couple have failed to publicly comment in the aftermath of their prison time. This has been understandable, given the heightened scrutiny they have been under.
Mossimo’s time in prison did not occur without its own challenges. He had reportedly been taken into solitary confinement, and this started to have a critical impact on his mental health. Not only that, when Mossimo wanted his sentence be reduced, the judge was not too sympathetic to his plea.
While he would ultimately be released early, in order to be home for the Easter celebrations, he has been keeping a low profile ever since. There have been public displays of remorse, though. Their daughter Olivia has vehemently apologised for being involved in such an odious act. Although this could clearly be seen as a case of saving face, she did vow to learn from her mistakes.
In a previous interview with the Red Table Talk, she said: “We had the means to do something, and we completely took it and ran with it. It was something that was wrong. It really can’t be excused. On paper, it’s bad — it’s really bad.” The criticism coming towards the couple will, no doubt, continue to rumble on. But until the next similar scandal unfolds, do not expect this to die down anytime soon.
