‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers find that Xander Kiriakis has a long laundry list of misdeeds. In fact, as Abe Carver (James Reynolds) spouted off dastardly deed after dastardly deed to his new mother -in-law, Paulina Price (Jackee Harry), the new Salem arrival clutched her pearls so hard she almost asphyxiated herself!
But if you ask portrayer Paul Telfer, he’ll tell you this is just how he likes Xander. Bad.
Speaking with Soap Opera Digest, Telfer explained his surprise at the romance his character embarked on with Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) as it was very out of the ordinary for Xander, but he did understand “there was this big endeavor to not, necessarily redeem him, but take some of the harsher edges off of him.”

Telfer admits he did enjoy seeing the man he has played since 2015 truly try to change for the better but “it is nice now to be able to return him back to a more dark version of Xander.”
Telfer also enjoys how, not only is ‘Bad Xander’ back, it’s a ‘Bad Xander’ who knows he can be ‘Good Xander’, but chooses not to.
However, the most telling part of Telfer’s chat with Soap Opera Digest is the tease of what is still to come for Salem’s resident villain. Prefacing it with “I know a lot of people are going to be upset,” Telfer then went on to divulge that things will be getting wild for Xander…and quickly!
Can this only mean that things haven’t wrapped up as easily as the bow on the end of the Xander-Chanel Dupree (Precious Way) quickie marriage made it look?
The pair didn’t get their way when it came to extorting each other for money and decided awfully quickly to grant one another a divorce, but we Days fans know nothing in Salem ever ends that amicably!
While the two look horribly mismatched romantically, they both have the troublemaker thing down pat…and that sounds like it could be fun! Besides, Xander really needs a friend besides just Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford).
