Amanza Smith has opened up on what it was like to be on Deal or No Deal, especially since she was in the esteemed company of Meghan Markle.
Amanza Smith Speaks On What It Was Like To Be On The Same Show As Meghan Markle
She would later go on to make history by marrying into the Royal family. Megan, for her part, was on the show for two seasons, but Amanza had sadly not starred alongside her. That did not stop her from having fond memories of the show. During an interview with Us Weekly, Amanza chuckled at how she may have taken Meghan’s newfound life.
She said: “She was on a season before me, and I always joke because I’m mixed, like, ‘I was one season shy [of] being a princess.” So does Amanza have any jealousy towards Meghan’s success? Well, not in the slightest. And who could blame her? After all, Meghan has hardly had an easy time within the Royal family, as of late. That is why Amanza was glad not to be in her shoes.
She added: “I don’t think I would have fit in the royal palace. I have too many tattoos, and yeah [and] I like to drink.” But Amanza’s time on the show was memorable for other reasons too. She gave birth to her daughter, Noah, shortly after the show. And yet, it seems Amanza may have been pregnant while she was working. She spoke on a throwback picture, where we can see Amanza showing signs of a small baby bump as she is celebrating a contestant’s success on the show.
That is why she will always have memories of the series. She continued: “I think I was probably pregnant in that picture and didn’t know it because when we went on hiatus — when we wrapped this season — I found out I was pregnant with Noah, like, probably two weeks later. So, she could have been in that she could have been the bun in the oven right there.”
Amanza has been enjoying life with her daughter, who has now started school. While the pandemic may have disrupted those plans to some degree, she is happy to spend that extra quality time together with her.
