Meghan King has spoken on how she will feel once her divorce from Jim Edmonds becomes official.
Meghan King Has Mixed Feelings Towards Her Impending Divorce From Jim Edmonds
The duo decided to call it quits after there had been rumours that Jim was unfaithful. While he denied that such things had occurred, their relationship could no longer continue. That has not stopped Meghan from fearing the worst. In an interview with Us Weekly, she said: “I think [it’ll be] a combination of [feeling] free mixed with being scared because I’ll be, like, totally on my own.
“I won’t have [Edmonds’ medical insurance], and that kind of scares me because that’s a big expense.” However, it must be noted that she does not regret the decision to get a divorce. After all, why would she? The divorce process has not exactly been a walk in the park. It was only a day after their fifth wedding anniversary that news of their impending split was announced.
That is not something you can get over at all, never mind quickly. And it seems Meghan is focused on enjoying her newfound freedom. She added: “[I’ll be free from] that huge energetic ball and chain that was holding me back. It’s gone, and now I can go and live my life and change my name legally, officially. And be with someone [new] as a single woman.”
On reflection, Meghan may have done the right thing. While Jim denied being unfaithful, he did admit to some other inappropriate behaviour, which does raise the question of whether he was telling the whole truth. Regardless, he admitted to sexting another woman, even though Meghan was pregnant. In a previous interview with Us Weekly, he said: “I engaged in an inappropriate conversation with this person.
“At no time was there any type of relationship or physical contact. Absolutely none.” It is understandable for Meghan to feel a little apprehensive. She shared two kids with Jim: Hart and Hayes. Naturally, there will still be some issues to sort out such as co-parenting. Not only that, there are financial decisions that could impact the duo and their kids. But if Meghan does things properly, this could be the making of her.
