If you’ve been on the landscape of youtube for awhile, you’ll know the name of Gigi Gorgeous, the trans beauty guru who started off as Gregory Gorgeous back in the day, came out as gay, and then transitioned to Gigi Gorgeous.
However, in the past couple of years they have been receiving some heat because after their transition they married someone who was also trans, their partner, Nats. Biologically, Gigi Gorgeous was born a male, and biologically, Nats was born a female. A lot of people are saying, “What was the point of coming out as gay if he still ended up with a girl?”
Way to de-affirm someone’s identity, people.
Gigi Gorgeous dated guys before her marriage to Nats. Nats is a decidedly less public figure and quietly transitioned themselves behind the scenes, Gigi Gorgeous is a lot less public about her life than she once was in the earlier part of the decade.
But today she uploaded a video addressing her sexuality – again. We were all there when she first came out as gay, and then again when she came out as trans (seriously, that surprised absolutely no one), now she has come out as pansexual.
She explains this by saying that when she first got with her spouse, Nats, that their gender had nothing to do wtih the attraction that she felt towards them. She had said before that that she had had friends who previously identified as pansexual, but she never really considered the label for herself until she realized that the attraction that she had felt towards all of her partners never had anything to do with their gender at all. That she was just attracted to the person underneath it all.
Does this make Gigi any less LGBT than before? Definitely not, in fact, Gigi says that she has never felt more affirmed and more “like herself” and that she feels like this is the last time that she will need to come out because she feels like she has found her true sexual identity. We’re glad that she can fully embrace herself and find the girl that was there all along. Stay tuned!!!
