Kara Keough left an emotional tribute this Easter in order to mark the passing of her son McCoy last year.
Kara Keough Remembers Her Late Son McCoy In An Emotional Tribute
In a post to her fans on Instagram, Kara opened up on the pain she had felt following McCoy’s passing. In the picture, we can see an Easter bunny, a basket, some eggs and a book in McCoy’s memory. It was captioned with the following comments: “Last Easter was the worst night of my life. We held our firstborn son in our arms as he took his final breaths. We spent time in the hell that is watching your child die.”
Despite the evident pain that she has been going through, things could be about to get better. Kara had announced this month that she was pregnant, and naturally, it was a bittersweet moment. It has, though, given her a renewed sense of urgency. She added: “This Easter is decidedly better. Despite that wretched Easter night, I can’t ignore that this day also represents rebirth. Renewed hope.”
McCoy had sadly died after an unusual in which his umbilical cord had been compressed. At the time of the passing, she wrote a heartfelt statement in which she described the trauma of losing a child. “We ask ourselves, ‘Where are we supposed to put all this love, all this love that we had reserved for them?’
“The answer becomes so clear: all around us, of course, and into them, still. Most importantly — and with no hesitations — we must put the love back into ourselves once again.” With that, Kara is seeking to open a new chapter in her life. That is precisely what her later father would have wanted her to do. And she continued her post in that same manner.
She noted: “We miss you, Mack-a-doodle. Thank you for sending us this sacred gift. You’re a big brother! Tell Grandpa that I said he was right. He’ll know what I mean.” It is such a difficult moment for Kara, but let us hope that she finds the strength to overcome her pain. With her pregnancy announcement, she has a chance to do just that.
