ABC ‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers reveal Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) has a plan. A bad plan. A copy-cat plan. However, it’s a plan nonetheless. Let’s take a look at what she’s got in mind and why it’s doomed to fail. Also, why we feel bad for poor Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud).
ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: The plan
So, ‘General Hospital’ spoilers reveal Maxie unveiled her mysterious plan Wednesday. It’s not much of one, in our opinion. She’s planning to pretend her baby was stillborn. Then, she’ll have someone she trusts take the kid somewhere for awhile.
Once enough time’s gone by, she planned to cite her pain when leaving Port Charles. Right. There are SO many problems with this plan, and Britt brought several up.
First, she mentioned the issue of the legal ramifications of faking a death. It seems Maxie doesn’t really care about Britt’s medical license, especially if she feels it will save her child from Peter August (Wes Ramsey) being a presence it her life.
Then, Britt pointed out something that came to mind right away—this will not make Peter go away. We’d also like to add that they could both faces charges when the truth is eventually revealed.
This could leave Maxie’s son in need of a guardian, not to mention maybe leave the new baby in the hands of her father. Here are a couple of other problems.
ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: She doesn’t know him well, does she?
Again, we can’t believe she’s thinking this will make Peter go away. We think she’s severely underestimating the depth of his obsession with her. As Britt pointed out, he’s her great love. There’s no way he won’t want to be by her side, grieving together.
Plus, let’s not forget Peter is in full victim mode. He feels let down and betrayed by Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) and Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart). Maxie is really all he has left. If he learns she faked their daughter’s death, this is not going to end well for her.
She’s also betting on him getting locked up before she makes her reappearance with the baby. Given how Peter’s luck’s been, she shouldn’t be counting on that. Or that he won’t have some way to get to her from behind bars if he learns of her lie. And let’s face it—the odds are good here.
ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Losing touch
Let’s also not forget another big problem here. Peter, in this victim mode, is also getting more openly aggressive. Not long ago, he threatened Britt. He also recently threatened Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright).
The mask is coming off, and the person behind it is getting uglier and more dangerous by the day. He really doesn’t need any reason to snap more than he already has.
And her lie would definitely do that, if the loss doesn’t first. She’s playing a dangerous game, and we think she’s going to come out of it with a lot of scars.
