‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers find that Hunter and her alter ego Summer Newman are fan favorites in Y&R’s Genoa City but did you know acting runs in her family? Hunter’s younger sister, Joey is also a famous actress know for her movie roles like Christine in The Conjuring or Elle in The Kissing Booth.
But the successful sisters have some other talents up their sleeves. Sort of. The dynamic duo joined forces recently to appear on Season 5 of Netflix’s Nailed It: Double Trouble.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Hunter King (Summer Newman) Shows Off(?) Her Other Talents
Nailed It pits three home bakers against each other as they attempt to bake and decorate cakes and other bakery treats just like the pros. Of course the complexities of the professional jobs set the contestants up to fail, but whatever they create they show off to the judges and yell “Nailed It!”
Honestly, some of the final creations will have you snorting in laughter.
Season 5 is mixing it up- no, not just the batter, but now instead of single contestants, teams of two are collaborating to create…well, generally not much more than a mess. And Hunter and Joey King’s creations don’t buck the catastrophe trend!
For the first mini challenge, Hunter and Joey attempt to recreate designer donuts to which one judge politely points out “ah…they make you smile?” During the taste test another judge has to spit the donut out claiming it tastes like chlorine! No they weren’t poisoning the judges, they added too much saffron flavoring!
Round two saw the sisters attempting to make a gravity defying hot air balloon cake that would make a seasoned pro shriek in terror! So, do Hunter and Joey Nail It or did they jump back aboard their round one Hot Mess Express?
Well, you’ll have to tune into Nailed It on Netflix to find out, but Y&R fans can rest assured that Summer wont or starting a bakery in Genoa City anytime soon!
