British Royal Family News find that Prince William wants the world to stop thinking that he is ‘trapped’ in royal life and that he is actually doing pretty well, thank you very much.
This comes after Prince Harry told the world that he feels as though his brother is ‘trapped’ in the royal life that he is living during his explosive interview with Oprah Winfrey earlier this week. Here’s what you need to know.
During their interview with Oprah, both Harry and Meghan seemingly threw the entire royal family under the bus while also explaining that the royal life is simply not a lifestyle for them. Harry explained, “My father and my brother, they are trapped. They don’t get to leave. And I have huge compassion for that.”

Prince Harry also said that, additionally, there is a constant pressure to put one’s best face forward. “That’s a part of the job,” Harry said. “It’s a part of the role. That’s what’s expected, no matter who you are in the family, no matter what’s going on in your personal life, no matter what’s just happened.”
Yet, sources close to Prince William say that’s not the case at all. Instead of being trapped, he is actually preparing for the biggest role of his life: and that’s as the future King of England.
“[William] has a path set for him, and he’s completely accepting of his role,” a friend said of the prince, who is next in line to the throne after the brothers’ father, Prince Charles.
“He is very much his grandmother’s grandson in that respect of duty and service,” the source added of William, comparing him to Queen Elizabeth II.
