Courtney Love has opened up on her near-death experience after stating that she almost died from anaemia.

The incident occurred last year and has haunted the musician ever since. In a post to her fans on Instagram, Courtney spoke on how bad everything was. She said: “People, I’ve been sad and extremely sick. Debilitated, in indescribable pain and in August at 97 pounds almost died in hospital from anaemia (haemoglobin I had none ).”
But her illness was misunderstood. She stated how she was often portrayed as being a drug addict, given her prior history. In 2018, she had suffered a relapse after recovering from her addiction to opioids, but this time it was different. She was genuinely sick, but thanks to some proper care, she got the help she needed.
She added: “I was stigmatized for being an addict for nine months by many ill-equipped Drs, backwards Drs and quacks. While in debilitating acute pain. Then I met the most empathic wise pain management dr. I’m so grateful” And in keeping with her prior drug history, Courtney has found something that has worked for her: Cannabis. It has always been a substance that has divided people, but the musician has found that it has worked wonders for her.
Who are we to argue against that? She continued: “I used to scoff at cannabis / THC . And I also am no fan of the narcotic effect, hate weed feeling. This isn’t that. It’s women and nature supporting us. It’s magic. But gods own CBD is a miracle.” However, there are going to be critics questioning whether Courtney is, in fact, using this drug for medicinal purposes.
It is only natural given what we know about her past. She has, though, reassured her fans that she is on the straight and narrow: “I’m still 100 per cent sober, by the way. Page 133 of the big book if you have questions.” Courtney signed off the post by stressing how she plans on coming back stronger: “But I’m ok! So I’m just waking, and I’m frail. I’ll be strong again soon!”
