Kevin Bacon has opened up on an incident in which he gave his wife, Kyra Sedgwick, a beauty procedure. And by all accounts, it went wrong.

The incident in question involved Kevin giving Kyra a bikini wax, and by the time it ended, she was not very happy. That did not stop Kevin from having any regrets, though. In an interview on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Kevin stated: “I’m one of those people that is cocky enough to think that I can probably do anything. You know what I mean?
“Especially because you’re an actor, you need to get a skill. You have to pretend you’re an astronaut or a fireman. I thought, ‘How hard could this be? I can put stuff together from IKEA. This is not going to be that hard.” And by the sounds of it, things did not go to plan. Although Kevin remained coy on what actually happened, he let slip that Kyra was fuming. Having said that, what did Kyra expect?
Kevin is hardly a professional in that department. He added: “You need to leave it to the trained professionals. Otherwise, it can get really, really, frighteningly dangerous. She was a little bit mad at me, but you know what, it was OK. I gave it the old college try.” Kyra, by contrast, was more open about the ordeal.
That would be expected given that she was on the receiving end of whatever Kevin was attempting to do. If destiny had other plans, things could have ended badly. In her previous interview on the same show, Jimmy Kimmel Live, Kyra said: “You use small pieces of cloth because if you use too big a piece of cloth, it’s just too painful and too hard.
“I’m not saying it was a disaster, but the fact that we did not have to go to the emergency room was just an absolute miracle. There were moments where I was like, ‘I thought you knew how to do this!’ And he was like, ‘I didn’t say I knew how to do this.” Kyra should count her lucky stars that nothing terrible had happened, and as for Kevin, he should avoid this department.
