’90 Day Fiancé’ Spoilers reveal that Stephanie and Ryan were finally intimate, as she had so wanted. However, Stephanie wanted to do so under completely safe circumstances, which meant, using protection.
Seeing as she and Ryan had not been together in 10 months and that there was question of him cheating on her in the past, she just wanted to make sure that she didn’t come home from Belize with some kind of STD. That’s honestly not too much to ask, she was even the one to spring for the condoms, which we thought Ryan was totally going to comply with.
’90 Day Fiancé’ Spoilers: However, as it turns out, he did not.
According to Stephanie, Ryan made like he was going to put on a condom, even got one out and laid it on the bed, but in the end did not end up actually putting the condom on. Stephanie has every right to feel betrayed by this, because she brought condoms and she asked him to use them and he should have complied with her wishes.
However in what can only be described as revenge, Ryan ended up not using the condom, and when confronted by Stephanie about it over the phone, asking why he would lie about using it when he didn’t, he posed the question, “Why did you lie about Harris?”

Stephanie is now alleging rape, because she did not consent to sex without a condom. I do not know anything about the courts of Belize, so I won’t even begin to speculate on that law, but it is a practice called “stealthing” and it is the nonconsexual removal of a condom during otherwise consensual sex and is considered a form of sexual aggression. In Germany, and the UK, it is a punishable by law as of 2020.
It looks like California has adopted this practice as well, because we’ve all heard about girls sabotaging birth control in order to ‘trap’ a man but it looks like men sometimes do it too and it also goes for STDs as well… as screwed up as that logic is.
As for Stephanie’s home state of Michigan, if she tried to get someone to represent her in that case… I’m not sure that she could because I don’t think Michigan has adopted that as a state law yet and if that would even carry over into Belize. Yike!
Now, what I really don’t get is why Stephanie would even entertain the idea of taking Harris’s call directly after this act, but all people deal with trauma in different ways, and I can’t say that anyone was thinking very clearly in that situation. I will say that I’ve seen less messy situations on the Jerry Springer show back in the 90’s, and that’s saying a lot. Stay tuned!!!
