Angelina Jolie knows how to hit where it hurts the most – emotionally, that is. The Hollywood actress is reportedly selling a multi-million dollar Winston Churchill painting that was given to her by her ex-husband, Brad Pitt. Ouch. Here’s what you need to know.
The mother-of-six is selling the only painting that Winston Churchill created during World War II, which is estimated to be worth about $3.4 million dollars. The painting was gifted to her by her ex-husband Brad Pitt back in 2011.

Churchill originally created the painting shortly after the wartime summit, during which he and Roosevelt formulated the next stage of their strategy to defeat Nazi Germany.
“It is the only work that Churchill painted during the war, perhaps encouraged by the recent progress made by the Allies in what he considered to be one of the most beautiful countries he had encountered,” Nick Orchard, head of modern British art at auction house Christie’s, said in a statement.
The painting was made after the two leaders agreed to only accept an “unconditional surrender” from the Axis powers, a strategically significant statement of intent from the two wartime figures.
Just recently, Angelina said that she did not know if she felt as though she’s ‘happier’ in her life now that she’s pulled the plug on her marriage with her ex.
She told British Vogue, “I don’t know. The past few years have been pretty hard. I’ve been focusing on healing our family. It’s slowly coming back, like the ice melting and the blood returning to my body. But I’m not there. I’m not there yet. But I hope to be. I’m planning on it. I do like being older. I feel much more comfortable in my forties than I did when I was younger. Maybe because… I don’t know… maybe because my mom didn’t live very long, so there’s something about age that feels like a victory instead of a sadness for me. So I like it. I’m looking forward to my fifties – I feel that I’m gonna hit my stride in my fifties. Though we were on the trampoline the other day, and the children said, “No, Mom, don’t do that. You’ll hurt yourself.” And I thought, “God, isn’t that funny?” There was a day I was an action star, and now the kids are telling me to get off the trampoline because I’ll hurt myself.”
