‘Bold and the Beautiful’ (B&B) spoilers indicate that Matthew Atkinson (Thomas Forrester) might be causing a lot of problems in Los Angeles, but if there is one place that is close to his heart, it’s Georgia. As a matter of fact, the handsome actor recently opened up about his home state along with his Southern roots in a new interview with Soap Opera Digest. Here’s what he had to say.
‘Bold and the Beautiful’ (B&B) Spoilers: Just Who Exactly Is Matthew Atkinson (Thomas Forrester) On B&B?
Speaking to the publication, Mathew talked about his childhood and his upbringing in Georgia. He said, “I was born just north of Atlanta, in Marietta. I came out to Los Angeles straight from Atlanta, but then I went back to do some acting work because the industry in Atlanta was booming and then I came out here again. And like a true Georgian, yes, I am a University of Georgia fan.”
The actor also opened up about his hometown’s sports teams and admits that the pride definitely runs deep in Georgia. Even though he was hesitant at first, he’s now a true Bulldogs fan.
Matthew added, “My dad was a Bulldogs fan and I never wanted to have the same teams as my dead. I always enjoyed rivaling him, and I never really cared about college football until I was older. But I fell in love with the Bulldogs. My friends are Bulldog fans. I went to some games. Sanford Stadium is a cool place to see a game, if you get the chance. The fans are extremely devoted, which is cool to see.”
The last time that Matthew was in town was to see Tiger Woods claim his latest victory at the Masters. Matthew was very proud to witness such a historic event. He said, “Who says you can’t go home again?”
