‘Welcome to Plathville’ Spoilers finds that Ethan and Olivia are having another disagreement next week. It looks like this time it may be over Olivia wanting to get a tattoo. Ethan said that he wasn’t into the idea of tats at all, and that he wished Olivia would consider his feelings more.
Olivia said that she didn’t know if she would want more tattoos in her lifetime, or when she would want them. Ethan definitely didn’t like the sound of that. I get it, Ethan grew up in a family that obviously did not appreciate body art, even the good stuff. I grew up in a family that had a similar distaste for tattoos, but were largely tolerant of the people that had them.

Then again, I grew up in a family who worked retail. Once you’re in a retail business you kind of learn to tolerate the outside world a bit more than if you’re just cloistered away at home. Obviously, Kim and Barry have never worked retail. If you’re judgmental towards customers, they don’t come back.
Olivia is trying to be open-minded about the world, she wants to do things whlie she’s young, get piercings, tattoos, drink margeritas, all before having to really settle down and get to the business of having children because according to them that’s the next thing on the agenda, they want to start having kids in the next couple of years.
There’s nothing wrong with what Olivia wants to do, it’s not like doing these things will lead her down a road of debauchery. She is literally a married woman who wants to share these experiences with her husband.
It’s not like she’s asking to go out and party without him, these experiences are things that she wants to share with him, he should be glad that she’s wanting to include him because sometimes when one spouse is reluctant to embrace the other’s way of life, then they just start hiding things from them and doing them anyway in order to feel comfortable.
I can only hope that this does not become the case with Ethan and Olivia, I hope that they continue to fight for their relationship. We’ll just have to see how next week goes. Stay tuned!!!
