‘Welcome to Plathville’ Spoilers indicate that Micah, Barry, and Isaac all went fishing together. Micah actually just wanted it to be him and Isaac, but Barry decided in the name of keeping tight control over what information that Isaac got from Micah about the outside world (he didn’t say that, that’s just a theory) that he would tag along, you know, just in case.
Of course Micah was annoyed by it because he wanted this to be more of a brotherly bonding trip and let’s face it, there are some things that you just can’t talk about around your Dad. (If you’re a young boy, we all know what subject that is, and that’s girls. Ahem.)
‘Welcome to Plathville’ Spoilers: Father and Son Bonding
However, Micah was quick to say that he wouldn’t be showing his little brother porn or anything that Kim and Barry didn’t approve of so he didn’t see the problem.
But Micah, even though he was annoyed decided to make the best of it. He decided to put aside his differences with his Dad for the day and just hang out and let bygones be bygones and do some Father and Son bonding for the day.
I’m not going to go as far as to say that it helped matters because Barry is still Barry and really set in his ways, but I think it’s clear to see that he’s missed this time with his boys, and he was glad to have both of them around.
It was good to see them just hanging out and being relaxed around each other for once, like families should be. But will this truce between Father and son last? Will Barry come to trust Micah again as he once did, or has he been pemanently shunned as an outsider?
As much as Kim and Barry say that they want to mend things with their kids, you have to wonder. As we’ve noticed, Kim and Barry don’t really do emotions, even when describing how their rift with their kids ‘breaks their hearts’ they seem kind of detached and emotionless, like they’ve compartmentalized everything that has to do with feelings and put it away.
I’m not sure if this is just an act for the cameras or what, but the closest I’ve seen Barry come to expressing emotion was when he was recounting how he missed spending time with his boys and how he wished that there could be more of that in the future. Only time will tell, I guess. Stay tuned!!!
