In the latest episode of 90 Day: The Single Life, Debbie Johnson gave viewers a backstory that really shocked us all. She has gotten a lot of backlash over the way that she treats her son, Colt Johnson, but after we heard about her past, things have become a bit more clear.

When Debbie was sharing with viewers about her past, she got pretty choked up. She talked about her first marriage and her husband had gone to Vietnam and when he came back, he had a lot of mental health issues. She did have a child with him, but that baby was born premature and ended up dying.

The doctors then told Debbie that she would never be able to have children again. When she got pregnant with Colt, she just knew he would be her miracle baby. He was also born premature, but bounced out of it and got healthy. Her past really did take a toll on her and now fans have more of an understanding as to why she keeps Colt so close.
Fans began to open up about Debbie’s past on Reddit. There was a full thread about how many of these fans felt really bad for her. One Redditor shared their thoughts and wrote, “Honestly if I lost a baby like that, I definitely would be extra afraid of losing any others.
Can’t blame Debbie.” There were a lot of fans that agreed with their statement, but one added, “This woman is clinging to whatever she has left. It’s still not healthy, but f**k. Does she not see that this should require therapy?” One more wrote, “Losing a baby that lived for only 90 minutes. Husband gone for a year fighting in Vietnam comes home a broken man, marriage ends. Colt born three months early. The second husband dies. Ugh. My emotions. I hope Debbie gets her happy ending.”
One last Redditor added, “It makes a lot of sense and it makes me really sad that when she was going through that mental health care had such a horrible stigma around it because I genuinely believe if she had been able to get the help she needed to learn how to deal with what she went through she may have had a better life and her and Colt may have a more healthy and functional relationship.”
