‘Love in Paradise’ Spoilers tells us that Mark and Key seemed to be having a great time, coming together after all these years down in Panama. They seemed to have one of the most supportive relationships that we’ve seen on any of the 90 day franchise, but just like that, Mark closed the book on all the good will and understanding the moment that he gave Key they ultimatum: Either move to California, or we’re finished.

I haven’t seen the likes of that kind of bait and switch since Big Ed Brown on Before the 90 days was gaslighting poor Rosemarie Vega (who has since moved on and is now thriving), except Mark seems to be a bit better at it, he didn’t come off quite as douchey until the very end.

    ‘Love in Paradise’: Mark’s ultimatum

Key said in her confessional that she has a life there in Panama, she’s not really interested in moving to the United States. She also has an income there in Panama and says that that’s where all of her students are. In the United States she wouldn’t have that kind of income because she doesn’t have a clientele basis, and in a pandemic it would take a long time to build such a clientele, even with the advent of social media.

Also, Key seems more like a face-to-face kind of person, not a social media kind of person. Mark doesn’t seem to get that she has her own life in Panama… and perhaps she is content to stay there.

Mark brings up an excellent point though, he says that if they are in two different places then they will be with other people, but Key told him that if she wants to make a commitment to be monogamous to him then she will be monogamous with him and she wouldn’t lie to him about it. Mark seemed to give off a vibe of, “You’re kidding if you think I can be left alone in California.” which is just not healthy at all.

Distance should not matter all that much if you want to be exclusive, it just requires a lot of staying at home and not going out to socialize. In next week’s preview, Mark said that unless the relationship worked out he was not going to learn spanish… while Key and her sister literally spoke spanish in front of him saying “Sometimes love is not enough in a relationship.” is this thing already over? Stay tuned!!!
