TLC ’90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days’ Spoilers tell that last week we left off on Before the 90 days on kind of a cliffhanger. As we all know, Varya turned down the marriage proposal of Geoffrey Paschel by simply telling him “Not now” but Geoffrey took that to mean, “Not a snowball’s chance in hell and ended up leaving and going back to Tennessee to lick his wounds with former flame, the girl who was waiting on him, Mary. Geoffrey didn’t make a peep to Varya, Geoffrey had been letting the flame die, or so he thought. At first he said he hadn’t been talking to her at all but then he let it slip and said that he would reply to her every now and again with “I’m fine.” when asked how he was doing. Varya took this to mean he was still upset over everything that happened and that she could easily mend this by doing one thing, and that was coming to the states.
The only notification Geoffrey got of this trip was when the TLC film crew called about 30 minutes beforehand saying that they would be arriving to shoot some final footage. No one told them that Varya was going to be arriving and Varya was not forthcoming at all. She thought that Geoffrey still had a thing for her and she thought that their relationship was just on pause, not completely and totally ended like Geoffrey thought. Wow, does the phrase, “We were on a break!” mean anything to you, because it’s all I can hear in my head right now.
TLC ’90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days’ Spoilers- Varya vs. Mary- The Russian Bear vs. The Country Mouse!
So Varya arrives and instantly sees Mary, Mary sees her, and then the claws come out. “What are you doing here?!”, “What are YOU doing here?!” Varya proceeds to call Mary a bitch, “Move bitch, get out the way!” and she insists that Geoffrey come and talk to her in private. She also prevents Mary from having any sort of say in this conversation. Apparently it’s not going to to be a three party discussion, as much as Mary would like for it to be. So Mary skedaddles and Geoffrey and Varya proceed to go out on a “date’ where Varya meets all of his friends, including one that was very reminiscent of Weird Al that told her, “You can’t say ‘not now’ without the words ‘no’ in it.” sage words, my curly-haired friend.
And then at this meeting… Mary shows up! Surprise surprise, country mouse is back for round 2! Apparently the Russian Bear didn’t squash her for all time, she was just biding her time until she could get some better footing. That, and I suppose there’s safety in numbers and a lot of witnesses at a bowling alley as opposed to Geoffrey’s house. I don’t know about Geoffrey’s status as a snitch, but if he isn’t… well, I’d be worried if I were Mary too.
I actually wonder just how much Geoffrey was talking to Varya over social media. Sure he says that he wasn’t really texting her back and wasn’t talking to her but would Varya actually have that much hope and fly all that way and disrupt her life in Russia and potentially tick off her entire family for a guy who hadn’t been giving her any hope whatsoever? I kind of have my doubts about that, besides, Geoffrey said himself that he still had feelings for Varya and it’s not uncommon for late night chats to turn… shall we say, romantic among recently broken up exes.
So what’s going to happen next? We don’t know but we kind of hope that things don’t escalate into the physical because it’s a bowling alley, not a mud-wrestling pit, and another thing Geoffrey doesn’t need anymore assault charges.
