On the new season of 90 Day Fiancé, one of the new couples is Thais and Patrick Mendes. Thais is from Brazil and she and Patrick met when he was there visiting his father. He fell in love with her rather quickly and has been to Brazil to see her over 14 times since they met.
He knows that she is the one for him and he wants to do everything that he can to make her feel happy and loved when she moves to the states. There are already some major red flags with these two though.
90 Day Fiancé: The Lies
We know it’s not a good thing when the child lies to the parents about why they are going to the states and for how long. In the new clip for the next episode, we will discover that Thais is lying to her father and grandmother about why she is going to Texas and how long she will be there. In the clip, the family starts talking about when she is leaving and what she is expecting. Her father tells her that he is worried about her being so far away.
90 Day Fiancé: Thais Lies to Her Father
He is worried that he can’t trust Patrick and he is worried that Thais won’t be protected there or have any friends or family. He also mentions that he has only met Patrick two or three times. This seems odd since Patrick told cameras that he has been to Brazil multiple times. No wonder her father doesn’t trust him.
Her father asks her what her plans are for when she arrives and she tells him that she doesn’t even know. He brings up the fact that she told him the trip was for fun and then she tells him that she is also going to get to know the place.
Her father then asks, “Have you even agreed on how long you’re going to stay?” She tells him, “Well, No. Not yet. But I’ll be back, okay? I won’t stay there forever. If I don’t like it, I’ll just buy a ticket the next day and come back.” Then she tells cameras, “My father is very jealous and I think he wants to protect me a lot. I can’t tell him. It’s not the right time yet.”
We hope she finds the right time because getting married in Texas isn’t something she can easily walk away from.
