90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way star Statler Riley responds to news sites calling her an attention seeker. Statler appeared in two 90 Day shows while dating Dempsey Wilkinson. The pairing seemed to be a very compatible couple, but things fell apart after buying a white van together. They wanted to start a traveling van life together, but the expenses and stress caught up to Statler. Feeling unappreciated, the two quickly fell apart by the end of their seasons.
Statler alleges having been cheated on by Dempsey. This caused the couple not to show up to the Tell All. Statler also went on a tirade of badmouthing her ex and revealing everything behind the scenes. This included discussing the negative aspects of what happened on the show on the production side. However, even after all these years, Statler still calls Dempsey a “textbook psychopath” and now responds to how news sites view her.
Statler’s Response to 90 Day Fiancé News Sites
On January 30th, 2025, Statler posts on her story a response to a Screenrant article about her and Dempsey. In the article, the author speaks on Dempsey posting herself traveling with the same white van Statler helped buy. Statler would then quickly issue a response stating that Dempsey still owed her lots of money for it. This caused a small scandal between the two along with Statler calling her ex a psychopath.
Statler speaks about her mental health during the situation and threatens to reveal more dirt on Sharp Entertainment. “The impact that the show & its residuals have had on my mental health is wild…it’s made worse by articles like this glamorizing my ex.” Statler goes on to claim that she holds lots of receipts against Sharp Entertainment which is 90 Day Fiancé’s production company. “…if they declare you public enemy #1, they’ll do anything to keep you down.”
In Statler’s second story, she goes on to state that other big cast members on 90 Day have reached out to her. “There are many cast members that have approached me…telling me their experience of how corrupt & potentially illegal the things the show has done.” However, despite the heavy claims, Statler refuses to share the cast members’ names or stories “without permission.” This is allegedly due to fear of prosecution by Sharp Entertainment.
What Statler’s Heavy Statements Mean
Statler talks a very big game but does very little. Ever since she left the show, she has spoken time and time again promising big drama about Sharp Entertainment. However, the most she’s done is twist common reality TV practices into half-baked scoops on her podcast. The Screenrant article captures this perfectly. She indeed sees herself as a victim and her own story proves that. She blames her mental health on alleged issues on the show that happened years ago.
Despite everything, I do hope that she receives the money Dempsey allegedly still owes her. If Statler’s claim is true, then she deserves to have her debts paid after everything. However, Statler also needs to learn how to move on. Instead, she is clinging on to dear life to something that has brought her nowhere when it comes to “justice.”
