On the latest episode of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After, Emily Bierberly and Kobe Blaise have made it to Cameroon and they are excited to spend time with Kobe’s family. So far, Emily and her parents have noticed a lot of cultural differences since arriving.
Upon her arrival, Emily also learned that Kobe’s family wants them to get married in a traditional ceremony. His father wants to be able to recognize their marriage as legitimate and this is the only way he knows how.
Even though Kobe and Emily are already legally married, his family feels that they should go through the traditional Cameroonian wedding as well. This is the first time that Kobe has been back to Cameroon since they got married and his family wants to celebrate in the best ways they know how.
When Kobe introduced Emily and her family to his father, his father was so happy to finally meet them all. Kobe’s father thanked Emily’s father for being a wonderful dad to him while he was in the United States.
Even though they are happy for Kobe and Emily, his family thinks that they need to give their blessing and have them get married in Cameroon now too. This is all very shocking to Emily and her parents. Let’s find out more.
90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After Spoilers – The Cameroonian Traditions
When Kobe talked about the traditions in Cameroon, he told Emily, “Because we didn’t get married in the traditional way in Cameroon, my dad doesn’t fully, you know, look at you as my wife. I didn’t know my dad was going to, you know, come out with this… We really need to make him happy.”
Emily told him, “I’m worried because just planning out wedding in America took so much time, effort, and energy that I don’t know how I’m gonna pull it off in another country and only have two weeks to do it.”
Kobe told Emily that the wedding would include the traditions of his town and there would be traditional foods served to the guests the night before. There would also be a dowry involved for Emily.
90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After Spoilers – The Wedding Confusion
Emily and her parents all feel as if there is a lot of confusion about the wedding and how to plan for it. Kobe’s family is expecting there to be about 100 guests and this is very surprising to Emily and her parents.
Emily told the cameras, “I don’t know how to be a Cameroonian wife. Also, I don’t know how to cook any of his traditional food so I don’t know how I’m gonna do it, but I need to show Kobe’s family that I want to be part of his culture. So, I’m willing to try and prove myself for the relationship.”
What will happen during the wedding? We will have to tune into the next episode of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After on Sundays at 8 p.m. EST on TLC to find out.
