’90 Day Fiancé’ Spoilers tells that when Thais Ramone came to the US to be with her fiancé, Patrick Mendes, she neglected to tell her Dad why she was initially coming. Apparently, he thinks that she is just in the US for a “free vacation” and doesn’t realize that she actually in the US to stay here and get married to her fiancé.
She implied in a dinner with Patrick’s other brother, Matthew, that her Dad didn’t like Patrick, but said that that just slipped out and she didn’t mean to say that at dinner. When they got in the car however, Patrick demanded an explanation and asked just what on earth she meant by that. Thais, after a lot of hemming and hawing, said that she had not told her Dad yet that she was getting married.

She said in her confessional that if she had told her Dad that he would have made her stay in Brazil, that he thinks that US men are out to take advantage of Brazillian women.
She told him that the US trip was just her going on sort of a free vacation, Of course, now that makes Patrick question everything because he thinks that maybe Thais is actually telling her Dad the truth (because who hasn’t lied to their parents before?) and that she’s simply taking advantage of him for the free trip. Honestly, Thais may be pretty, but she doesn’t give off “gold digger” vibes. She seems pretty genuine in her intentions with Patrick.
But she does seem to be afraid of her Dad, though. We haven’t actually met Thais’s Dad, or any of her family, to be exact. That would be an interesting episode, if we got to see a zoom call between the potential in-laws and Patrick.
Thais wants to wait until after the wedding to tell her Dad that she got married but that seemed out of the question for Patrick, he wants to do everything the old fashioned way and formally ask for Thais’s hand in marriage.
Maybe he should ask Jenny and Sumit Singh about how that went for them, because as we’ve all witnessed on 90 day, sometimes parents can be an absolute nightmare. We’ll see how he feels about that over the rest of the season. Stay tuned!!!
