After the fight in the kitchen, I think we can all agree that Patrick Mendez needs to at least learn how to communicate better. He threw the fact that he was having to take care of the wedding back in fiancé Thais Ramone’s face, however the way he did it after she offered to let him marry her in Vegas and take all that unneeded pressure off of him was really, really vindictive.
He basically said that after working and paying all the bills that he doesn’t want to come home and have to worry about whether she’s told her Dad or not because apparently everyone on Patrick’s side of the family knows and is invited to the wedding.

Okay, but Thais is trying to keep the peace with the family that she has, not cut all ties, and it just seems like that would be a surefire way to do just that. Patrick doesn’t seem to care though, he doesn’t seem to realize that some families, if their child marries whom they deem to be the wrong person, will never speak to said child again.
It’s unclear whether or not Thais is an only child, so it may not happen, but if she has siblings? It’s likely that Daddy will choose the one who didn’t marry the guy that he didn’t like. She said that he really doesn’t like Patrick, but Patrick seems blissfully unaware of that? In some cases that might be a good thing, but in this case it seems that Patrick isn’t grasping the gravity of the situation… at all.
The bad thing is, Thais is already expressing regrets about her decision to come to the USA and be with Patrick, she says she hopes she doesn’t regret it but that he treats her like a child and she has not ever once asked him to be her Father. It seems that Patrick is kind of on a power trip about this whole relationship, actually.
It would seem that he likes being the provider and coming home and Thais acting like he’s “the man” but when it comes to understanding about any of her situation he’s not willing to even budge. If he wants her to tell her Dad that badly, then she should make him sit on the conversation and just let him see how it goes. He won’t want to be a part of that. Stay tuned!!!
