’90 Day Fiancé’ Spoilers finds that one has to wonder what Gordon Ramsey would have said about Mike Berk’s attempt at cooking pasta for fiancé Ximena and her family – because while it was an attempt that came straight from the heart, she advised her children not to eat the food because it was uncooked and it would give them colic.
She even said in he confessional that the uncooked pasta would give her diarrhea, even though she really did appreciate the effort that he put in by attempting to make dinner.

Perhaps Mike should have started with something a little less complicated than pasta. Perhaps he should have just ordered out for pizza instead and made sure that the food was edible first.
Although, he seemed pretty competent at cooking when he was back at home so one wonders if maybe being on foriegn soil was throwing him off, or perhaps his ADHD was making it so that he miscalculated the time in which to actually cook the noodles… that might be a thing.
Also if Mike can’t understand the language, then reading recipe instructions would be a challenge for him, so perhaps it was just an honest mistake on his part, the whole noodle thing.
Still, poor kids, we hope they got dinner some other way that was prepared by Mom and not by Mike. You have to wonder though, if Mike has been cooking like this at home all these years – how has his family survived?
Maybe he’s not the primary cook in the house, and that would certainly explain things, or perhaps he can only do certain dishes well (after all he seemed to be okay at making breakfast in the first episode), but it seems that pasta is just not his forte… best of luck next time, Mike.
Thankfully, it seems there will be a next time because Jamir, Ximena’s Dad, has given him his blessing to propose – awww! Okay, so he can’t cook but he’s willing to try and he’s willing to learn and Mike is something that so many other cast members haven’t been – and that is willing to change, so many other cast members on 90 day fiancé won’t meet their significant others halfway when it comes to changing their habits but Mike has seen that his ADHD has almost caused the end of his relationship with Ximena and wants to change that. We’re cautiously rooting for them. Stay tuned!!!
