Mary told cameras, “Me and Paul have a pretty close relationship. I’ve been with him through thick and thin. But Paul needs to be pushed a little bit to be on his own.” Paul tells Mary that he has been looking for jobs and it has been very hard.
Paul does have a criminal record, so this has put quite a damper on his employment. He has a felony on his record when he was arrested for arson when he broke up with a past girlfriend.
“Before I can even put the application in, people are just telling me no. It f*****g sucks.” He told his mom. Mary tells him, “I don’t know what you were thinking. I mean, bringing her over here. You have to have income and be able to support them.” Paul told his mother, “She’s not in a great mood right now. She feels really alone here.” Mary told him, “You know, this is why I didn’t want you to get married. Because you weren’t ready. I wouldn’t want to be with someone that’s kind of…like a deadbeat. You’re kind of wasting her life. You brought a baby into this world, and this is not fair to the baby. So you need to stand up and start doing right.”
Mary and viewers really hope that this conversation will help Paul to focus more on what is going on in his life right now. You can see if it works on Sunday night at 8 p.m. EST on TLC on 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After.
