’90 Day Fiancé’ Spoilers indicate that Julia Trubkina might have just said the wrong thing to fiance Brandon Gibb’s parents.
As if she wasn’t on thin enough ice, basically having Brandon question their house rules about not sharing a room, before they were married, now she openly admits as they are taking a tour of Washington D.C. that she knows nothing about politics because it’s “not her life” and she has no idea about the President or who’s in the whitehouse, and honestly, she’s not all that impressed.

There are a million things I could say right here but I’ll let everyone reflect quietly on that for a second.
The thing is, we Americans forget that people in other countries actually don’t focus on politics at large. We have a two-party system that is always at loggerheads with one another and it really seeps into our American way of life through news outlets and the like.
But in most places in Europe, people rarely talk about politics. I don’t think the Gibbs’ were prepared for that statement, so when Julia proclaimed to know nothing about who was in the whitehouse and said that she knew nothing about the President, you could practically see them staring at her in horror.
Julia’s reaction isn’t all that surprising though, in other countries, you’d be amazed at how little politics is focused on in every day life outside of say, elections.
That’s another thing Brandon failed to educate his new girlfriend on. I kind of wonder what on earth Brandon was thinking would happen when he brought Julia over. Did he really think that his Mom and Dad were going to agree to him bringing over this girl that he wanted to marry without telling her anything about the culture and then they’d let her stay in his room and it would just be a bunch of slap and tickle pillow fights?
Is that what he thought was actually going to happen? Because if he did, then he clearly didn’t think this decision through. AS for Julia, I can’t say I blame her for not being that educated on American politics, she just came from a culture where it’s not as prioritized as all, and we can’t really fault her for that. Hopefully, the Gibbs don’t, but I have a feeling there might be some judgment going on there, we’ll see though. Stay tuned!!!
