’90 Day Fiancé’ Spoilers tells that, because Sumit Singh can’t hurry up and marry fiance Jenny Slatten for reasons that are named Mama and Daddy Singh, the immigration lawyer told them last week that Jenny had one more option, other than getting married, to stay in the country, and that was getting a permanent missionary visa by becoming a Hare Krishna devotee.
It’s a good thing that Jenny is not particularly religious because if she were raised in a different faith this might cause a lot of cognitive dissonance, but fortunately for Jenny she is pretty open to whatever thing will keep her in the country – even if it might make a few people side-eye her.
’90 Day Fiancé’ Spoilers: Jenny embraces the Hare Krishna lifestyle
Sumit seemed pretty excited about it, he was even trying to teach her the little song that they sing, however, Sumit could only teach her so much, so they went to a Hare Krishna temple to find some other Hare Krishna devotees to explain the faith better to Jenny.
From what we’ve seen explained so far, country of origin doesn’t matter when it comes to the Hare Krishna faith, so you don’t have to be exclusively Indian and it does not seem like a closed practice, as is the case with some faiths.
However no one really explained anything to Jenny about the lore or anything with the religion, they just kind of sat her down and told her to begin chanting. However after the chant, that’s when they began explaining things better.
One devotee said that she had been a Hare Krishna devotee since 1994, and she has become disciplined. Another, of only three years said that the faith has introduced her to herself and she has found inner peace, which Jenny thought was really beautiful.
Not unlike the Christian faith, they said that their lord puts you through ‘tests’ but they said that through this practice of chanting the mantra is how you will find the answers. Perhaps I’m just not enlightened enough but that made no sense to me personally, however, no shade, maybe it’ll work for Jenny.
She actually seemed to enjoy it and said that she did feel something while she was there, but the process of doing all that chanting was tiring. Anyone who’s ever been hit with the spirit in church before can attest to this, it can be physically draining to have a spiritual experience. Either way… looks like Jenny is open to this new way of life. Stay tuned!!!
