On 90 Day Fiancé, we have already met a few new couples this season. Luckily, that’s not all of them! One of the other new couples is Patrick Mendes and his girlfriend, Thais. They started dating when he was on a dating app while he was visiting family in Brazil.
He found Thai, who is a Portuguese tutor and they started talking and one thing led to another. He began to visit her often and after being with her a few times, he proposed. Now, Thais is getting ready to move to Dallas, Texas to marry Patrick.

We haven’t seen much of these two yet, but we will on Sunday’s episode of 90 Day Fiancé. He will tell viewers all about how he has transformed himself for Thais. He has started getting facials, new hairstyles, and a tan, and he got his back waxed!

He started working out even more and has lost a few pounds so he can be just as handsome as Thais remembers. Patrick is very focused on his weight, in fact, he is a weightlifter. He calls himself a “3x weightlifting national champion” on his Instagram account. On his account, there are many photos and videos of him working out.
Patrick was once a full-time weightlifter and started lifting in 2008. In 2011 though, he started to have hip pains that turned out to be a torn labrum. He has to stop weightlifting and get a full-time job in order to get health insurance. After some time in recovery, he started weightlifting once more.
Patrick is currently living with his brother and this is going to prove difficult for him and Thais. There is one scene in the trailer that shows his brother drinking a beer in the morning and Thais says something to Patrick about it. His brother tells her, “I live here, too.” Then Patrick says, “Living with my brother is gonna be really awkward.”
Will Patrick’s living situation be an issue for him and Thais? We are excited to see them after two episodes and this will be a new storyline for us to follow. You can catch them on 90 Day Fiancé on Sunday nights at 8 p.m. EST. You can also follow Patrick on Instagram.
