’90 Day Fiancé’ Spoilers reveal that last week we found out that Corey and Evelin have been married since last year, or actually, now we find out that they’ve been married since June 11th, 2019 (since this was filmed during the height of quarantine last year), Evelin told her angry sisters that at the time that she and Corey got married that they were in a good place in their relationship and that she could see herself being with him forever.
However, there was also the fact of the matter that Corey’s visa was expiring and if that happened then he would have to leave, Evelin’s sisters really didn’t see that as a big deal but Evelin did.
’90 Day Fiancé’ Spoilers: Evelin’s last minute decision
She said that she didn’t want to tell anyone initially when she got married because apparently in Evelin’s family marriage is a huge deal and no one believes in divorce.
That’s not such a surprise, there’s a lot of families like that, what is a surprise is Evelin’s own take on it. She said that when she got married to Corey, even though she was in a good place in her relationship with him, the moment that she said her I do’s, she started crying.
It looks like there were cracks in the relationship already because she said that she thought that doing what is essentially a vow renewal ceremony would make things better between them. It also makes things really complicated because during the time that Corey dated the girl in Peru, Jenny, they were actually married.
Yes, to quote one of Evelin’s sisters, “So you gave each other space, but you were already married?!” ha, yes, apparently. Evelin said that if the marriage didn’t work out then she would have just gone and quietly gotten divorced and not said anything about it, but apparently things have… gotten better?
That’s honestly debatable. You could tell in the video that was shared of their wedding that at the time they got married, Corey and Evelin seemed to be the picture of a couple in love, and both seemed to be pretty sure about their decision.
Although I don’t think Evelin liked it when the officiant marrying them said, “You only get married one time in your life” way to drive the point home, buddy!
We’ll see how this goes, right now Evelin’s sisters are mad because they wanted to be a part of the wedding when it was brand new, not what is technically a vow renewal ceremony. They thought that Evelin would be consulting them about the wedding as a new bride, not living as a married woman for a year before telling them anything.
When one’s family is as close as Evelin’s claims to be, one can see where it would feel like a bit of a betrayal, but at least they took it in stride and didn’t march out or start a screaming match ala the Potthast clan! Though.. we’re only four episodes in. Give it time. Stay tuned!!!
