Daniele Gates confessed that she finds the Dominican Republic to be a more secure environment than her usual surroundings in New York City.

Presently, she is with her partner, Yohan Geronimo. Over the course of the year, she has made it clear that she does not wish to come back to America any more after declaring bankruptcy. Not only that, but she made it clear that she found it very tough to pay her $4,000 a month rent.
With that being said, she let everyone know in no uncertain terms that she prefers her new life outside of the US. In her comments, she said: “No one was shooting heroin. No drunk homeless people p***ed on me. No one hissed at me or asked me to smile.”
In addition to this, Daniele had an enjoyable experience while using public transportation in the Dominican Republic, which she believes is both quicker than in New York City. Despite this being the case, she has been accused of coming across as entitled.
This is on the basis that she expected a western lifestyle in the country, despite the fact that Yohan allegedly earns $4,000 a month. Not only that, but she expressed her displeasure at Yohan’s meat shop after seeing the flies which she felt had an impact on the hygiene.
The response on social media was one of concern. A certain subset of people were still not convinced that the relationship would last since the pair did have different outlooks on life. And in the process, people advised her not to rule out a US return. One person wrote: “If it don’t work out in DR come to South Carolina.”
